This slightly hazy, amber-hued brew wears a feathery white head. Candied tangerine scents lift up from the glass, adding sweetness to its bready malt aroma. Cracker malt flavors with a hint of sugary sweetness rush over the tongue as threads of earthy yeast deepen the flavor. In the middle, bright orange notes meet spicy, peppery yeast and sink into rich bread crust flavors that emerge in the back. Finishing dry, Rare Vos wraps up with enduring orange peel and pepper notes on the tongue. Its ABV is a bit strong for the style, but it’s well-hidden. |
