Mirror Pond is a wonderfully ballanced beer, light gold with a frothy, tan head. The nose is a pleasant meld of citrus and piney scents backed by firm, bready malt aromas. Tame throughout, the flavor is a well-composed blend of toasted bread sweetness on the front of the swallow and floral and grapefruity hops that come on quickly and last through the last moment of the sip. The beer defines crisp, clean refreshment; the body is not big and powerful, and there is little alcohol to distract the palate from the flavor profile. |
