Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
Russian Imperial Stout
ABV: 9.0% IBU: Unknown |
According to legend, it took copius amounts of poison, three gunshots, a beating, and a drowning to take down Grigori Rasputin. Fortunately, Old Rasputin is more refined than its namesake and easier to drink than most of the Imperials we've come across. The beer pours cleaer with a thick head that unleashes a sweet aroma with some fruity, vinous notes. The flavor profile deftly hides the 9% ABV, making this beer enjoyable from start to finish. Though slighty astringent, Old Rasputin finishes clean and refreshing. |
