Belgian Dubbel
ABV: 7.0%
IBU: Unknown
RATING
87
This Belgian-style brew from Maine pours a clear amber color with tawny highlights. A strong aroma containing chocolate, mocha, and hints of fruit is unleashed from the large off-white head. You might expect this to be a highly carbonated brew, but the carbonation is actually low and joined by a light to medium body, which creates a great medium for the complex malt flavors. Unfortunately, however, those enticing aromas do not quite translate into the flavor, which has a simple malt profile with little yeast presence. Although a tasty brew, we suggest aging this beer for a few months or years to achieve its full potential.
