While the recipe for this Christmas ale changes every year, the 2005 vintage of this brew should help put Indiana on the beer lover's map. From its chocolaty, smoky, and hoppy aroma to its dark opaque head, this beer has a lot going for it from the start. It is brewed with Columbian coffee in the final stages, which you'll notice in the finished product. There is obviously a copious amount of malt used in this brew, and the multifaceted flavors are a testament to this fact. Of course, the new year's batch will certainly taste different, but judging by the 2005 version, it's safe to assume that it will be memorable.
