While Little Rock, AK, might not traditionally be considered the center of the brewing world, the folks at Diamond Bear have continued to put up solid arguments for changing that opinion. In 2000 they opened the first brewery in Little Rock since 1985, and they have been crafting quality brews, like this English pale ale, ever since. Fruity esters with a slight hop flavor are the first noticeable features of this brew. Although we might have enjoyed a more pronounced malt aroma and more bitterness, this beer is quite drinkable and is one fine offering from a new, exciting brewer in the South. |
