Geary's has been brewing beer longer than any other brewery on the East Coast. It can lay claim to more than a few great beers, including this English pale ale. In fact, this beer has one of the most incredible aromas we've come across -- it starts out malty, but soon the fruitlike aspects of the yeast come through followed by the scent of clean, flowery English hops. The clear burnt-gold coloring and the thick, long-lasting head make this a visually appealing beer as well. The taste is classic English pale ale, replete with the traditional slightly acidic/sour notes. Although we felt that these notes slightly detracted from the overall smoothness and malt and hop balance, it is still a very enjoyable, drinkable session beer.
