Never Summer Ale

The beer has a brilliantly clear, amber-hued body and introduces itself with a slightly sweet vinous aroma. The hops in the aroma are smooth, aromatic, and slightly earthy. The flavor follows suit, but the malt kicks in and plays a more active role. There are several complex malt flavors in this ale and it would be hard to pinpoint any one that stands alone, but the woody and earthy flavors are particularly noteworthy. We are confident we would still enjoy this beer in the summer regardless of its name; however, since Boulder Brew Company only brews it in the winter, we'll stock up on it now. |
