Wolaver's Pale Ale

Because certified organic ales are becoming increasingly popular, we knew we'd find a few earth-friendly beers in this style. In fact, we found more than a few -- we discovered at least 20 different organic pale ales. Wolaver's begins with some resin notes and lost of alcohol in the aroma (reminiscent of a scotch). The head retention needs improvement, but the sweeter, less aggresive flavor is enjoyable. The finish is a bit weak for a pale ale, while the woody and earthy aspects are unique to this brew. Even still, this organic beer is a fine example of the style. |
