This pilsner comes from one of the more traditional breweries in Europe, and since the trip overseas can be a long one, be sure to get a bottle that hasn't been sitting on the shelf too long. Our samples were still within their shelf life, so we were excited to try them out. The noble hops have the most obvious presence in the aroma, and there is very little malt. A slight sweetness couple with the hops yields a refreshing and crisp mouthfeel. The malf shows up here also and makes a lasting contribution throughout the swallow. |
