From DRAFT Magazine:

Redhook was founded in 1982 and was one of the first leaders in the craft brewing movement. The brewery started by brewing spicy Belgian beers that most people in the early 80s never heard of, much less tried. After a rough few years they abandoned the Belgian concept and started making more traditional brews, including an IPA. Here, Redhook has crafted a good example of the style with a pleasant malt aroma that has more piney tones than citrus ones. The body isn't brilliantly clear, but it is very smooth. (In fact, it may be a bit too smooth, if such a thing is possible.) The body left us wanting slightly more bitterness, but this is a fine ale nonetheless.
