Our final IPA comes to us from one of the fastest growing breweries in the world. This beer is slightly different from the other IPAs we reviewed, with its high alcohol content and absurd amount of hops. If you are just starting down the India pale ale path, try one of the other IPAs we recommend; however, if you already like hoppy beers, this needs to be the next beer on your list. The hops are exceptionally present and barely give your senses a moment to catch themselves. It doesn't taste as resiny as most IPAs with this high of IBUs, and that is a testament to Greg Koch (Stone's founder) and his brewers' attention to detail. Ruination is a great IPA that doesn't taste quite as strong as it really is. |
