Stone Brewing Company's Smoked Porter is a decadent brew with a rich, deep chocolate aroma that doesn't overwhelm the nose with smoke flavors. The dark tan head is smooth and complements the roasted color well. The brew features a slight sweetness, but mild peat smokiness is this beer's most exceptional quality: Less strong than some smoked woods, the peat essences still stand out as the overriding flavor (especially since this beer presents virtually no hops).
