The Magic Hat crew is a lively bunch that has fun with their craft -- the brewers have been known to throw everything from vanilla beans to ginger into the brew kettle. This beer is marked by a strong lemongrass aroma and flavor. The head is solid if not terribly large, and the color is tawny gold. The flavor is citrusy and refreshing, and although the wheat doesn't make a strong appearance, the grain's flavor is noticeable and enjoyable. We do wish, however, that the body would fill us up more and coat our tongues more fully so that the hops don't stand so unaccompanied. Try this one when you want a wheat beer with a lot of zest. |
