It's always good to see one of the big breweries taking an interest in brewing a beer that isn't very common and then getting it to the masses. While Coors isn't distributing this beer in all of its markets, it is a welcome addition to its Blue Moon line. What makes this beer different is the addition of kieffir lime peel and leaves during the brewing process. This refreshing lime characteristic makes its first appearance in the aroma where it blends with the bready and biscuity smells. The taste is similar, with the lime adding a tartness to the otherwise sweet beer. The barley and wheat flavors are slightly husky and grainy, but they are balanced well by the light hoppiness and lime flavors. This beer also pouts a light amber color, setting it apart from most golden wheat beers in yet another way.
