Extra Special/Strong Bitter
ABV: 5.0%
IBU: Unknown
RATING
90
The red triangle on Bass' label is an icon; in fact, it was the first registered trademark in all of the United Kingdom. But even better than admiring the label is drinking this full-flavored ale that is still brewed using the original recipe from 1777. The orange/amber color is brilliant, and the thick head releases a mildly hoppy profile with plenty of earthy notes from the hops. The flavor of the beer is unleashed as it is warmed, so be sure to serve it around 60 degrees in order to fully enjoy the nuances of this quality brew.
