American Pale Ale
ABV: 5.7%
IBU: 30
RATING
86
This quality beer is brewed in the small Arizona mountain town of Prescott, about two hours north of Phoenix. Aside from wonderful shopping and golf, this town also boasts some skilled artisan brewers; in fact, Prescott Brewing has won more medals than any other Arizona brewery. Its pale ale starts with a lemon and tangerine aroma that also has plenty of earthy notes. The body is moderate but not filling, though it still seems fairly robust. There is an effervescent hop bitterness, but the flavor is maltier than several popular West Coast APAs. It seems that Prescott has put its own distinct stamp on this style.
