Boulder Beer Company takes the prestigious title of being the first brewery to open in the state post-Prohibition, and it has been brewing up great beer since that day. This amber ale is a fine addition to its offerings with its brilliantly clear body and soft, tan head. The beer has a soft malt palate, and there is a decidedly smooth balance between malt and hops. It also has a moderately dry finish for an amber and a pleasant earthiness in the flavor. Notes of rich, dark fruits are also evident, but minor. |
