DRAFT REVIEW: Hornsby's Hard Cider
Hornsby's Hard Cider

ABV: 5.5%
IBU: Unknown
RATING
88
Hornsby's is actually owned by E. & J. Gallo winery, so we're thrilled that even winemakers are turning to beer (and in this case, a cider). This beer pours a light honey hue with a quickly dissapating head. (Ciders don't traditionally have long-lasting heasd because they aren't brewed with hops.) When this cider is cool, it emits a warm flavor of cinnamon sticks in both the aroma and the taste. As the beer warms, however, fruit flavors and stronger hints of spice begin to emerge. The one drawback to this beer is the touch of sugary harshness throughout the flavor, which makes the brew a bit too sharp.
