If you want to sip this beer, you'll have to travel to Iowa and visit John's Grocery Store of Iowa City (unless you're lucky enough to trade for some on www.ratebeer.com). Lemon zest aromas pour from the bottle and swirl endlessly in the glass, and the beer further impresses with a golden color and a cloudy, white head. Moderate spiciness comes out in this brew, but the citrusy lemon flavors control the profile, and you'll even pick up some sour notes in the taste. There is a slight tartness, but the citrus flavors make that flavor stand out and work, while plenty of wheat adds structure to the body. |
