You won't find this brew -- or any of Twisted Pine's beers, for that matter -- outside of Colorado. The brewers are so concerned with their beer's freshness, they aren't about to possibly jeopardize quality to boost sales. If you happen to be in Colorado, though, pick up some Red Mountain. Freshness does shine through in this offering, from the malt-heavy aroma to the dry finish from the light use of hops. You won't taste the hops in this ale, but they do add a nice dried apricot aroma. Very creamy and well-carbonated from the start (and quite enjoyable throughout), this toffee-flavored, malt-heavy brew is one of the most enjoyable ales to sip while watching the Colorado sun go down.
