Vienna Lager
ABV: 5.5%
IBU: 21
RATING
90
A beautiful golden color with amber hues and a fluffy soft head lead thh way for this New York brew. In the nose, the malt starts with soft honey and ripe fruit notes. Hops are detectable here as well, although they are secondary to the stronger malt aromas. In the mouth, Matt Brewing has done a fine job bringing out the malt flavor in this brew. While slightly too sweet, the malt is toasty and has an abundance of caramel flavors. The carbonation starts off mellow, but it doesn't dissipate throughout the experience, so by the end you'll appreciate the soft mouthfeel. Like most of this brewery's beers, Saranac Adirondack is very drinkable with overall crisp and refreshing characteristics.
