Rob Leonard and his crew at New England Brewing Company aren't your typical brewers: For starters, they've hung nine velvet Elvis paintings throughout the brewery. It is also the second brewery on the East Coast to can its products, including Atlantic Amber, the brewery's flagship brand. The beer pours with a perfect beige head, which holds in the sweet malty aroma that lasts throughout the entire glass. In the mouth, flavors include toffee and caramel notes, as well as some welcome earthy hop tones we'd like to see more of in the aroma. While the carbonation is perfect, the beer is not quite hoppy enough for the style. Atlantic Amber is so drinkable though, you are bound to like it. |
