ABV: 5.1%
IBU: 17
RATING
81
This Full Sail brew is packaged in 11-ounce bottles called “stubbies,” and when you drink them with friends, you can play a raucous game of rock-paper-scissors using the caps, which have the items printed on them. Session pours a clear, light gold with a big crown, but displays an unremarkable aroma of light grains and cooked-corn sweetness. However, the flavor begins with a burst of sweet, toasted malts, bready with a crisp, peppery hop presence lending a mild bitterness. Session is medium-bodied with soft carbonation and very low alcohol. As the beer is allowed to breathe, the corny aroma cleans up significantly and becomes brighter, and sharper hop spices come forth. This lager finishes dry and crisp with a slight bitterness that refreshes the palate.
