This drinkable brew pours a murky gold color with a sturdy ivory head. The aroma is mild and musty, with gentle wheat tartness and citrusy American hop character. O'Fallon's has a chewy mouthfeel and smooth carbonation. The flavors in this beer are generally understated, with clean pale malt essence to begin with, followed by subtle wheat tartness in the end of the taste. Following suit, the hops aren’t loud, but the lemon and grapefruit flavors add zing to the wheat backdrop. This is a decidedly thin, watery brew with a clean finish and understated hop spice and bitterness lasting into the aftertaste. |
