From DRAFT Magazine:

This brew was crafted in the ’90s to commemorate the founding of the brewery and the partnership of its owners John Fuller, Henry Smith and John Turner in 1845. It pours clear and gold with a big, frothy tan head. The aroma is delicate: There are very mild plum and caramel notes in the nose, but it lacks the overt alcohol warmth found in many beers of this style. An initial nutty sweetness on the tongue is lifted by toasted bread and a superb earthy hop taste. With a medium body and understated alcohol presence, the beer is wonderfully drinkable. It has mild carbonation, low bitterness from the hops and a clean, dry finish.
