This is a lively beer, clear and gold with bountiful bubbles that rise up to the top and form a big, creamy head. The aroma is soft, overall, with smoky malt and sugary sweet tones. This beer is very clean on the palate and has well-defined flavors: Strong caramel malts, dry grass, mild phenols, and earthy hops are all distinguishable. For as sweet as it begins, MacPelican finishes dry and crisp with only a mild aftertaste of smoke and caramel. |
