Broken Halo pours light honey-golden with a dense, frothy white head. The aroma is subtle with grapefruit and dry grass notes, along with an edgy alcohol presence. The sweetness up front is short-lived: Caramel malts and lightly toasted nuts give way to an aggressive hop showcase that features citrus peels and dried flowers. The hops also lend significant bitterness that lasts long into the aftertaste. Broken Halo is medium-bodied with a prominent alcohol presence and dry finish. |
