Purple Haze
Fruit Beer
ABV: 4.2% IBU: 13 |
There’s no wallop of raspberry when you first inhale Purple Haze, but swirling the cloudy, light-orange beer around a few times unlocks the fruit, which mingles gently with the wheaty, slightly citrusy aroma. On the tongue, this beer’s obviously about elevating a base style with well-placed fruit. Refreshing wheat hits the tongue first, and then segues into raspberry sweetness that swells in the back and brushes the sides of the tongue. While there’s potential for this beer to lean too sweet, it keeps a balanced composure throughout the drink and ends clean and highly refreshing. |
