Dressed in orange with reddish tinges, this brew’s foamy head is everlasting. The aroma’s thick with candy orange and pine scents, and speckled with pointed alcohol spice. Swirl the brew around for a few moments and unlock sweet caramel scents; on the tongue, those round caramel notes touch down before the hop bitterness pushes back. Grassy, piney flavors blend with the sweetness culminating in a balanced center. Throughout the swallow, these work with an almost fluffy carbonated water quality to create a surprisingly refreshing experience that’s rare for this style. As bitterness works its way across the tongue, the mouth isn’t completely scraped dry; piney, grassy hop notes linger on. |
