Through its haze, Hoegaarden glows a pastel straw hue beneath a delicate white head. A vibrant collection of scents lift up to the nose: Bright lemon and orange add juiciness to white pepper, grains of paradise and clove. As the wheat flavors spread out and pinch the tongue, bold clove notes emerge and take center stage. Coriander threads accentuate the clove and counter sweet orange and tart lemon flavors in the back. Finishing dry with remnants of clove and orange, this beer’s simply a refresher. |
