The fourth annual Boulder County Brews Cruise will feature two bus trips that visit the original four Boulder County breweries – Avery Brewing, Boulder Beer Company, Left Hand Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery – from the very first Cruise.
The “4 X 4 Tour” takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 23, one day before the start of the Great American Beer Festival at the Colorado Convention Center.
Last year’s Cruise was a sold-out excursion that welcomed two 55-person busloads of beer lovers from across the US and Europe.
For just $55, Brews Cruisers get a seat on the bus, free samples at each stop, a light breakfast, lunch, and a commemorative 4 X 4 T-shirt.
The Cruise gives riders a chance to try some of the state’s best beers at their source, and showcases the spirit of cooperation among the area’s craft breweries.
“The Brews Cruise,” says Oskar Blues Brewery’s Marty Jones, “is the perfect way to kickstart GABF week. You get a designated driver and a cushy ride to four of Colorado’s best breweries. And you spend a unique day with happy beer lovers, sampling fine beers and meeting the people who make them.”
“Boulder County is one of the premier beer-making regions in the US,” says Left Hand’s Chris Lennert. “The Cruise is a tremendous showcase of our collective brewing art, and a chance for us to hang out with our peers and beer fans.”
Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be purchased at www.lefthandbrewing.com .
The 2009 Brews Cruise buses begin departing from the Colorado Convention Center (at 14th Street and Stout Street) at 8 AM on the morning of Sept. 23. The Brews Cruises begin returning to the Convention center starting around 5 PM.
