Once in a Copper Moon
Published by Staff on 6.6.2008 at 1:54 p.m.After more than a decade of light, crisp summer seasonals, on June 20, McMenamins will release Copper Moon, a robust pale ale crafted specifically for warm-weather enjoyment. With a 5.03% ABV, the copper-color beer is brewed with three hop varieties and three 100 percent organic malts. According to McMenamins, a combination of Great Western Organic 2-row, Munich and 60L Crystal malts “impart a flavorful yet summery-smooth sweetness,” while Chinook, Centennial and Amarillo hops emit a citrusy and flowery aroma and low bitterness. Additionally, Copper Moon is brewed using 100 percent renewable energy. The seasonal brew will be available at all McMenamins pubs, hotels and breweries across the Pacific Northwest through August 31. For more information, visit www.mcmenamins.com.
