Following suit of students who couple their education with beer, the sales team at Schneider Weisse has coupled their beer with education. The entire sales team, including managing director Georg Schneider, completed beer sommelier training at the Doemens-Academy this spring; the graduates received their certificates during an official ceremony at the Weisses Brauhaus in Munich. The certification course included brew theory, lessons in draft technique, instruction about the art of pairing beer with food and numerous examinations. Mr. Schneider is proud to have the first brewery sales team consisting entirely of beer sommeliers. “For my team, the education was like primer detonation,” he said. “They have acquired a unique knowledge which they can pass on to our customers and they have become ambassadors of the beer culture.” Congrats, grads!
